Description
A step-by-step guide to drafting a hood from your own measurements. Fourteen steps take you from a simple frame to the finished hood curve, with a diagram at each stage.
What you need
- Front and back neck length
- Temple to temple, measured round the back of the head
- High Point Shoulder to top of head measurement
- A ruler, a set square and a French curve or Vary Form curve
How it works
Part 1 builds the frame from your measurements in six steps. Part 2 draws the neckline and the hood curve on that frame. The last step is a 45 degree check that tells you the curve is right before you cut.
