Description
A step-by-step guide to drafting a shirt collar and collar stand from your own neck measurements, then sewing it on. The stand is drafted first and the collar is drawn on top of it, with a diagram at each stage.
What you need
- Your back neck and front neck measurements
- Paper and a ruler
- A hip curve
- Interfacing for the upper collar and the outer stand
How it works
Part 1 drafts the collar stand from your back neck and front neck measurements and traces it off as your master stand. Part 2 draws the collar on top of the stand, from the stand height out to the collar point.
The last page shows how to trace the two pieces and check that they match, then sews them on in five steps.
