A close-fitting jersey top with long sleeves, a wide scooped neckline and a stitched V below the neck. The sleeve is a two-part raglan: a shoulder piece runs from the neck over the top of the arm, and the sleeve sets into it.

- Light, stretchy cotton jersey, such as single jersey or cotton-elastane. A little elastane helps the long, slim sleeves keep their shape.

- 1.3 m of 150 cm wide fabric for XS to L, 1.4 m for XL to XXL. At 110 cm wide, 1.6 m and 1.9 m. Pre-wash the fabric.
- Notions required
- None. A twin stretch needle for the hems and the V.
- Stretch required
- Across the width, 10 cm should pull out to at least 14 cm and spring back.
- Seam allowance
- 0.8 cm on the raglan, shoulder and sleeve-top seams. 1 cm on the side and underarm seams. Hems 1.6 cm. The neckline has none, because it is bound.

Finished garment, measured flat. Chest is half the measurement all the way round. Length is centre back, neck to hem. Sleeve is measured over the shoulder, from the neckline to the cuff. Inches / centimetres.
Key details
- The V is decoration, not a seam. A flatlock gives the look in the photograph if your overlocker has one. A twin needle is the easiest alternative and a narrow zigzag also works, so you do not need an overlocker.
- There are two seam allowances. Sew each at its own width.
- Drafted with about 4% negative ease. It suits a bust of about 80, 85, 90, 95, 102 and 110 cm, XS to XXL. Between sizes, or in a firm jersey, take the larger.
- The front is cut whole from a single layer, because of the V.
