Bag patterns built for real materials. Both are fully lined, both hold their shape when loaded, and neither is a tote that collapses the moment you put something in it. These are the patterns to use up leather, heavy canvas, cotton duck or military surplus.

The Duffel Bag is a weekender with a 19 inch top zip, a zipped side patch pocket and reinforced strap patches. The Oversized Tote Bag is a flat bottomed carry all with an internal zip pocket and a stencil placement included in the files.

Both are one size and both are marked intermediate, mostly because of the material rather than the construction. Seam allowance varies by piece, 1 cm on some seams and 2 cm on others, and it is printed on every piece.

Sewing through several layers of leather or canvas needs a different needle and a longer stitch. That is covered in seam allowance and finishing, along with why you clip instead of pin.
